I've been drawing SF scenes since I was a little kid but I did not really become an artist until college taught me some much needed skills and mindsets. Now my artistic tools of choice are the camera, paints of all kinds (right now I'm into oils), pencils (colored or not), and any scultping medium that does not require a kiln to process.
Artistically my favorites are the great Impressionist Renoir, Andrew Wyeth, the space artist Robert McCall, the SF and humor illustrator Frank Kelly Freas, movie poster god Bill Peake, and the holy trio of '60s-'70s paperback gods Gene Szafran, James Bama, and Robert McGinnis.
Photographically I'm striving for a realistic but still aesthetically pleasing approach to nude photography. I take pride in the fact that women like my work as much as men do. I think it means I'm doing something right and not creating mere whacking material.
